It’s so simple; it’s almost child’s play

Homemade Pizza is quick and easy to make, and everyone loves Pizza don’t they.
I use this recipe often as it makes a great snack or a simple meal, which can be frozen and reheated anytime.

Pizza

Follow the two recipes, Pizza Dough and Pizza Sauce,

Then Make your Pizza

Place each Pizza Disc on a lightly greased baking tray or Pizza Pan and top with Pizza Sauce and your favourite toppings.

Pizza Base

Spread the sauce over you Pizza Bread and top with your favourite topping, and sprinkle with freshly grated cheese.

Pizza Toppings

I like a mix of Mozzarella and a tasty Cheddar; on my base, then top with slices of Salami, Prawns, thinly sliced Chicken, Olives, Artichoke Hearts, Capers and a few salty Anchovies to spice it up. Then on top again with a light sprinkle of Cheese. I always add a sprinkle of freshly Ground Black Pepper and Sea Salt last, it gives that extra enhancement to all the flavours.

Everyone has their favourite; I lay out all the toppings and the family makes their own. They all love this part, and it is a great way to bring the family into your kitchen for a bit of fun.

Tips

Brushing the dough with a little olive oil to prevent the topping from making the crust soggy.

Prick the pizza base in the tray with a fork helps make base light and airy.

Bake

Prepared Pizza

Bake for 10-15 minutes in a hot oven 200-220°C and enjoy. Any leftovers (if any) will keep for a few days in the fridge or freeze them and reheat at a later date for a quick snack or easy meal.
